About Carla
Carla came to physiotherapy through a lifelong love of sport and a fascination with how the body works and performs at its best — for her it is the perfect combination of the two. She treats a real range, from lower-limb injuries and women's health to performance optimisation, and loves building return-to-sport and return-to-activity plans that get active people back to what they love in sport, the gym and everyday life. In a first session she takes the time to understand your injury and your goals, answer your questions and map out a clear initial plan, so you leave reassured and knowing exactly what comes next. Her message to patients is consistency: it is never one exercise or one session that changes things, it is a realistic plan you can actually stick to. Carla is an elite track athlete who has represented Australia internationally over 200m, 400m and the 4x100m and 4x400m relays, from the World University Games to two World Relay Championships and the World Athletics Championships, and also owns a women's strength studio on the southern Gold Coast. That athlete's insight into injury, rehab and the mental side of returning to performance, backed by a strong strength-coaching background, runs through everything she does.
